gerard cosmetics lip pencils & star powder

about a month ago gerard cosmetics launched their lip pencils. currently there is 4 shades: red (immortal), brown (cher), nude (nude) and peach (peachy keen). i ordered peachy keen and nude because i didn't have anything similar yet. i also wanted a highlighter in lighter shade than my current h&m one, so i bought the star powder in shade "grace". there is 7 different shades to match all skin colors, grace is the lightest.

okay let me rave about this highlighter packaging! the mirror is a plus, but what i really love is the powder cover that helps keep the interior tidy.

"peachy keen" lip pencil

when i first swatched the lip pencils in my hand i was excited since they felt very pigmented and smooth. unfortunately the peachy keen pencil was very poor quality (can it be manufacturing error?). i had to work hard to get the pigment stay on my lips, and the consistent was very waxy. as you can see it has crumbled all over my lips.


"nude" lip pencil

fortunately the nude lip pencil was as i have hoped. it was easy and smooth to apply. just wished they would have both been like this! the formula is very long lasting and needs a waterproof remover to take off.

lip pencils are 16$ each and star powder 36$. always check discounts for example in instagram since i paid only around 36$ for all of the three products.

grey lips: gerard cosmetics london fog lipstick & gravity hydra-matte liquid lipstick

i have been in grey phase already for a while.. what i had been longing for was a grey lipstick. i think someone in gerard cosmetics read my mind when they created london fog lipstick and gravity hydra-matte liquid lipstick.

what surprised me was the size of the hydra-matte liquid lipstick. here is comparison picture to other liquid lipsticks from anastasia beverly hills and colourpop that i own.

in the picture it looks that only the applicator is shorter but there is less product as well. anastasia beverly hills liquid lipstick has ~3,25ml product and costs 20$, colourpop same amount but costs 6$. gerard cosmetics liquid lipstick actually has almost half less product (~1,75ml) and costs 20$. in my opinion colourpop's is the best on quality-price ratio since it's really pigmented but cheap also. gerard cosmetics "london fog" lipstick

first i was surprised when the surface of the lipstick was glittery. i really hoped the formula wasn't! and thank god it wore off when i applied the lipstick. the formula was nicely smooth but pigmented. start with this if you want grey lipstick but nothing too drastic. the shade is little bit purple as well.

gerard cosmetics "gravity" hydra-matte liquid lipstick

the liquid lipstick is very good quality. when you apply the formula is soft but it dries quickly and is very long lasting and pigmented.
price: 20$

when you buy something from gerard cosmetics check first their instagram account, they usually post discount codes. i bought mine from black friday sale with -50% off.

gerard cosmetics underground & cherry cordial lipstick

when i saw in instagram the 25$ deal for 3 lipsticks i couldn't resist myself.. (i ordered two and my sister one). the shades i chose were underground and cherry cordial.

as you can see gerard cosmetics has added a box for their lipstick which i think is nice because before they just used to come wrapped in plastic..

(sorry in the below picture the lipsticks changed place so in the left underground and in the right cherry cordial)

i was actually gonna take the shade 1995 first but i made a decision to change to something more colder toned since they suit better with my silver hair. undeground is really nice dark, grey-toned nude that i have fallen in love with. what i don't love though is the formula. the pigment is really hard to get on the lips, i had to rub the lipstick to my lips for several minutes to get good color (my lips were really sore after that..).

gerard cosmetics "cherry cordial" lipstick

this is a color we both chose with my sister and it's a really beautiful fall/winter color. the cherry cordial has great pigment unlike the underground. the formula is a good balance of being quite matte but not too drying.

gold & turquoise makeup

this is my go-to makeup look in the summer, i end up doing it many times! i think the coral lips are perfect with the turquoise, but if you want the look more subtle, you can do light nude lips as well.

i made a second purchase from gerard cosmetics and this is what i chose.

my first purchase from gerard cosmetics was the nude kimchi doll lipstick. in that one i think the formula is perfect, but in these more colourful ones i hope the pigment would be stronger. i bought these as a 20$ combo with free shipping on their website and i think it's a great price - i wouldn't be happy if i had paid the full amount (38$) - i can get better quality lipsticks with that price.

first impression: gerard cosmetics kimchi doll lipstick and candy kiss lip gloss

this is the first time that i'm trying gerard cosmetics products. there was a great bundle offer of these products that i purchased (lipstick+lip gloss+teeth whitening pen) with 25$ instead of 65$. the bundle offer also included free delivery and the package came in 9 days from US, so it was pretty quick.

i ordered candy kiss lip gloss (made in collaboration with shannon harris)  and kimchi doll lipstick (made in collaboration with sophia chang). i saw this combo on shannon and it looked so beautiful that i had to have them.

the packaging of the lip gloss is awesome! it has mirror and light, so it's easy to apply even f.e in a nightclub. the formula of the lip gloss is creamy and not sticky. the only negative is that because the color is so light, its a bit hard to get evenly. this lip gloss will look great with darker eye makeup.

kimchi doll is just the perfect nude for me. i haven't bought light nude lipsticks before, because i always thought the colour would "disappear" on my face, because i have a light skin tone. this shade is just so beautiful pink undertoned nude and it actually suits me very well (so other light blonds don't be scared). the formula is moisturising and soft with medium pigment.

here i'm wearing both kimchi doll and candy kiss. this combo will look even better when i get a little bit of tan.
