classic wedding makeup

since my second wedding anniversary is coming up on sunday i decided to show you my wedding makeup. my makeup was really classic cat eye and red lips.

if my wedding would be now i would still do the same makeup but with a little more contouring. i wanted to have a headpiece since my dress was short and i didn't have a veil. my hair was in a curly messy bun.

here is some products i used in my wedding makeup:

lancome teint miracle 
my absolute favorite foundation! i recommend it to every bride, it makes your skin look so radiant and glowy. (if you have oily skin then i would choose something more mattifying).

revlon matte lipstick "005 strawberry suede"
this lipstick is discontinued but other great red lipsticks are "perfect red" by l'óreal and "ruby woo" by mac.

ardell professional natural false lashes "demi luvies"
the ardell natural false lashes are the most easy and comfortable false lashes i have ever tried. demi luvies give you a lot of oomf without being too drastic.

inglot eyeshadow "395 pearl"
even it is an eyeshadow, i use it as a highlighter since the color is perfect for highlighting and the price is much more cheaper compared to actual highlighters.

isadora perfect powder blusher "05 pinky peach"
really flattering, easy to wear color that suits for every look.

rimmel exaggerate liquid eyeliner waterproof
good product if you are looking for a bargain waterproof eyeliner but its not that long lasting. currently i would recommend the isadora glossy eyeliner.

this is my go-to makeup look in the summer, i end up doing it many times! i think the coral lips are perfect with the turquoise, but if you want the look more subtle, you can do light nude lips as well.

i love isadora's nail polishes because they have such a good quality. they are well pigmented and long lasting, the brush is wide and flat which makes the application easy. isadora always comes up with the most beautiful colors as well.

the perfect bright hot pink color. the formula is moisturising and medium lasting. price: 13,90€

rimmel lasting finish lipstick "004 indulgence"

this shade seems not to be available anymore, at least i didn't find it in rimmel's website. it's nice more peachy toned bright pink.

maybelline color sensational "902 fuchsia flash"

purple toned pink. this lipstick has good price quality ratio. the formula is moisturising but lasts well too. price: 9,60€

mac matte lipstick "candy yum-yum"

super bright neon pink, lasts really well because of the matte formula. price: 20,50€

isadora moisturizing lip gloss "17 honeysuckle"

this lip gloss doesn't have a lot of pigment so i have used it few times on top of pink lipstick. it has quite sticky formula, so not really my favorites. price: 12,50€

dior addict fluid stick "575 wonderland"

in the picture the color looks a bit more red than it actually is.. i bought this lip gloss last year from tax free when i was going to holiday. i had such high expectations so i was little disappointed even there is nothing bad about the product. when you are buying expensive cosmetic you just expect them to be groundbreaking :D this lip gloss is super pigmented and juicy, it feels soft in the lips and it's not too sticky. if you want same qualities without breaking the bank i recommend maybelline color elixir lip gloss. price: 42€

isadora nude sensation fluid foundation

isadora's newest foundation is the nude sensation fluid foundation. it says to be no makeup feel, nude finish, light formula and medium coverage foundation for all skin types.

i have mixed feelings about this product. it takes work to apply evenly, since the formula is oddly sticky. but in the end the finish is not heavy at all - light/medium cover and matte finish.

my sample is the shade 16 nude almond.

i did earlier this year a swatch of the maybelline dream wonder nude foundation and maybe some of you are thinking between of these two foundations. isadora's nude sensation is a little bit more covering and long lasting than the maybelline's dream wonder nude that is really light.

the price of isadora nude sensation fluid foundation is around 21,90€.

mac mineralize rich "be a lady"

be a lady is that kind of color that looks pink in another and orangy in another light, that's why i decided to put it in corals. mineralize rich lipsticks are really nice and easy lipsticks, because they glide easy to the lips, they are soft and moisturising, but also have more pigment than for example the cremesheen lipsticks. this lovely color suits for everyone and even its bright, i would describe it classy. price: 24,50€

maybelline color sensational vivids lipstick "910 shocking coral"

maybelline's shocking coral is also pinky kind of coral. the formula is moisturising, but also really well pigmented. i think i haven't wore this a lot, because i really don't have much to say.. price: 9,60€

l'óreal color riche lip colour"373 magnetic coral"

the magnetic coral is definitely more orangy coral. it is one of my first lipsticks, and i used to wear it all the time in the summer 2012. nowadays i have more coral/orange options, so this one has been stucked in the shelf.. i think one of the reasons is that it has a bit of glitter in it, so i'm not so keen of the finish (anymore). i would say this one has a bit drier formula than the maybelline's lipstick. price: 12,50€

isadora moisturizing lip gloss "14 coral glow"

as you can see, this lip gloss doesn't have much pigment. i'm not really a lip gloss person, because i don't like the stickiness, but if i would use this, i would apply it on top of coral/orange lipstick. (and now you wonder why i even own this product.. sometimes you get blinded by the sales :D) price: 12,50€

not sure how to call this color theme. light orange? light coral? so i decided peaches! this is currently my favorite color theme.

mac cremesheen lipstick "coral bliss"
my absolutely favorite everyday lipstick. shine lipsticks became really popular last year and now seems like almost every brand has their own collection. shine lipsticks have more moisturising formula and less pigment than normal lipsticks. they are easy to use because you don't need even mirror or lip liner. you can apply shine lipsticks to dry lips, they work also a little bit as a lip balm (and actually i recommend to do that, because if you apply them on top of lip balm, you won't get almost any pigment to stick to the lips..). coral bliss is a beautiful kind of nude vs. light coral color, that goes well with any make up. if you are looking for nude lipstick, but don't like brownish nudes, try this one! price: 20,50€

isadora twist-up matt lips "52 posh peach"
this is more like salmon pink with a little bit of peach in it. currently my favorite lip product, the color is just so beautiful! read my recent review here. price: 13,90€

mac satin lipstick "sushi kiss"
really bright, almost neon, light orange color. this lipstick definitely needs a confident user! if your face is looking tired, grey and dull this lipstick will definitely give your face a pop of color. i would definitely advice to use lip pencil with this, because the lipstick has strong pigment, but it is still light color, so it can get a bit uneven on the lips. price: 20,50€

make up store lipstick "first kiss" matt
very similar than sushi kiss, but more corally and wearable. i prefer this one over the two. good balance between moisturising formula and lasting pigment. so beautiful summer color with tanned skin. price: 20€

isadora twist-up matt lips 52 posh peach

my latest lip product purchase is isadora's new lip pencil twist-up matt lips in shade 52 posh peach. this range comes with 6 different shades: nude, peach, two pinks, orange and red. i wanted to buy the nude as well but it was finished :(

 

the formula is sheer, so it's exactly what i'm looking for in a great easy every day lip product - you don't need lip pencil or even mirror to use it. i wouldn't call the finish super matte, but it's not too conditioning to be shiny either, but still feels soft in the lips.
the colour in the lip pencil looks actually more orangy - in the lips it's kind of salmon pink with a hint of peach. but for me the color is an absolute hit, it looks so gorgeous! this color suits both blonds and brunettes, and in the summer with a tan it will look even more beautiful..

the best way i found out to use this is to apply lip balm before applying the lip pencil, but you must tap most of the lip balm away with tissue if you want the color to stick (in dry lips it looks awful since its not conditioning enough).


i also prefer the shape of the tip better than in other lip pencils that are more rounded.

marilyn monroe inspired makeup tutorial

my first video that i ever made! definitely learnt a lot by doing it so next videos will be much better ;) i have always been a nervous public speaker but doing a beauty blog has been my secret dream for a while, so i'm really happy that i finally had the courage to start!

this look inspired by marilyn monroe is one of my favorites and i use it really often. in the video i show makeup suitable for every day use - if you are going to a costume party you might want to do it more dramatic. do the eyes with more contrast and add the beauty mark on top of your lip.

"black" and gold half moon nails

this beautiful nail look is super easy to do!

as a base color i used rimmel 416 night flight - dark purple color that looks black on some lights. i prefer to use it sometimes instead of black.. on the beginning of your nails do a half circle shape with gold glitter nail polish. use a glitter polish that has lot of glitter in it. one good is mavala's 227 sparkling gold. i like to apply also another glitter polish coat with different glitter nail polish to give more dimension. for this one good is isadora's 871 gold digger holographic nail polish.

if you want something more moderated you can use nude as base color. you can also apply the glitter polish in the same way on the tips on your nails instead, then you get glitter french manicure.
