last year before christmas the body shop launched new eye colour sticks.

they come in 4 different shades and the pigment on them is very rich and long lasting - they are waterproof.

a cool fact is that in the end of the pen there is a sharpener, so you can use them as a liner too if you want. price in finland is 16,50€.

the body shop matte lip liquid

about a month ago the body shop came up with matte lipsticks (read the post here). now they have finally jumped to the popular liquid lipstick trend as well. if you live in the uk, you are spoiled with 12 different shades - in finland we got only 3. apparently these are a limited edition, but i hope they make them permanent.

the formula is not as liquid and lightweight as usual liquid lipsticks are, it's more velvety and mousse-like. it takes up to half an hour to dry well, and it still transfers. this formula suits better to people who have dry lips, and it feels much more comfortable on the lips. the 3 shades that are sold in finland are very similar. pink, fuchsia and dark red with purple undertone. the darkest shade is a bit streaky, so you need to apply 2 layers.

the body shop colour crush matte lipstick

the body shop is waking up to the matte trend rather late. the formula of these lipsticks is quite comfortable matte - not too drying. they are well pigmented, but i'm not impressed of the color selection - i only like the last 2 shades. price in finland 16,50€.

the body shop fresh nude cushion foundation

cushion foundation is now very trendy and it found itself to the body shop makeup range as well. the packaging is designed for an easy application and touch-up, since it has a sponge and a mirror within. the formula has for example aloe vera and marula oil, and it's told to suit for sensitive skin too.

the formula comes in 5 different shades. to my summer tanned skin shade 03 was perfect. i would probably continue using 03 anyway, since the 02 seems very yellow.

the product is like your skin but better. if you love natural finish, you will definitely like this foundation. compared for example loreal's cushion foundation (which makes your skin look shiny and wet..) this makes a slight matte effect - but not too much not to suit dry skin as well. the formula is long lasting too, it lasted well a normal working day - i didn't need any touch up. it evened my skin tone and looked very fresh! only minus is the hardness of the sponge that comes with, i rather used my beauty blender to apply.

the body shop down to earth eye palettes

the new body shop down to earth eye palettes came out in finland last week. these palettes replace the old shimmer cubes eye shadow palettes. if you own some shimmer cubes, these shades are quite close the old ones, so you may want to skip. there comes 5 options with 4 shades (26,50€), and one bigger palette with 8 shades (39€). i would say the shadows are quite pigmented and easy to blend, good for any basic user. the shadows can be moved, so you can switch colors if you own several palettes. the palette also has a mirror.

in april nyx finally landed in finland! i was excited to try their products since i don't have so much experience of them and the prices are very affordable. 

nyx full coverage concealer "orange"

i wanted to try the youtube trend of putting orange concealer to under eyes, but it just didn't work for me. no matter how little amount i did put, it always started creasing. and to be honest i didn't see any difference on using only normal concealer. this one i actually bought from ebay already before, i think it's not sold in finland.

nyx extra creamy round lipstick "power"

the formula is as the name says, extra creamy. comfortable in the lips, but because of that it doesn't last very well. the color is not very easy to pull off - but nyx is all about crazy colors. and as you know, i absolutely love lilac and grey lipsticks!

nyx wonder stick "light/medium"

i'm always looking compact options for contour&highlight since my smashit palette is too big to carry around. the wonder stick has been a great and easy solution. the packaging comes with good instructions so it's easy for a beginner to start. only negative thing is that sometimes i struggle with the right amount of product. you need to be careful with blending since the product moves quite a bit and kind of "disappears". the wonder stick comes in 4 different shades. i will do a youtube tutorial of this product later, so come back to visit my page!

nyx lip lingerie "satin ribbon" 

this one i bought a little later so it's not in the other pictures. it would be a good reference to try the darker shades as well since lighter shades are always harder to formulate. the nude shade is nice, but it cracks a little bit. i wouldn't say the lipstick is 100% transfer proof, but a good budget option, since it costs under 10€.

gerard cosmetics lip pencils & star powder

about a month ago gerard cosmetics launched their lip pencils. currently there is 4 shades: red (immortal), brown (cher), nude (nude) and peach (peachy keen). i ordered peachy keen and nude because i didn't have anything similar yet. i also wanted a highlighter in lighter shade than my current h&m one, so i bought the star powder in shade "grace". there is 7 different shades to match all skin colors, grace is the lightest.

okay let me rave about this highlighter packaging! the mirror is a plus, but what i really love is the powder cover that helps keep the interior tidy.

"peachy keen" lip pencil

when i first swatched the lip pencils in my hand i was excited since they felt very pigmented and smooth. unfortunately the peachy keen pencil was very poor quality (can it be manufacturing error?). i had to work hard to get the pigment stay on my lips, and the consistent was very waxy. as you can see it has crumbled all over my lips.


"nude" lip pencil

fortunately the nude lip pencil was as i have hoped. it was easy and smooth to apply. just wished they would have both been like this! the formula is very long lasting and needs a waterproof remover to take off.

lip pencils are 16$ each and star powder 36$. always check discounts for example in instagram since i paid only around 36$ for all of the three products.
