classic wedding makeup

since my second wedding anniversary is coming up on sunday i decided to show you my wedding makeup. my makeup was really classic cat eye and red lips.

if my wedding would be now i would still do the same makeup but with a little more contouring. i wanted to have a headpiece since my dress was short and i didn't have a veil. my hair was in a curly messy bun.

here is some products i used in my wedding makeup:

lancome teint miracle 
my absolute favorite foundation! i recommend it to every bride, it makes your skin look so radiant and glowy. (if you have oily skin then i would choose something more mattifying).

revlon matte lipstick "005 strawberry suede"
this lipstick is discontinued but other great red lipsticks are "perfect red" by l'óreal and "ruby woo" by mac.

ardell professional natural false lashes "demi luvies"
the ardell natural false lashes are the most easy and comfortable false lashes i have ever tried. demi luvies give you a lot of oomf without being too drastic.

inglot eyeshadow "395 pearl"
even it is an eyeshadow, i use it as a highlighter since the color is perfect for highlighting and the price is much more cheaper compared to actual highlighters.

isadora perfect powder blusher "05 pinky peach"
really flattering, easy to wear color that suits for every look.

rimmel exaggerate liquid eyeliner waterproof
good product if you are looking for a bargain waterproof eyeliner but its not that long lasting. currently i would recommend the isadora glossy eyeliner.

rimmel lasting finish lipstick "004 indulgence"

this shade seems not to be available anymore, at least i didn't find it in rimmel's website. it's nice more peachy toned bright pink.

maybelline color sensational "902 fuchsia flash"

purple toned pink. this lipstick has good price quality ratio. the formula is moisturising but lasts well too. price: 9,60€

mac matte lipstick "candy yum-yum"

super bright neon pink, lasts really well because of the matte formula. price: 20,50€

isadora moisturizing lip gloss "17 honeysuckle"

this lip gloss doesn't have a lot of pigment so i have used it few times on top of pink lipstick. it has quite sticky formula, so not really my favorites. price: 12,50€

dior addict fluid stick "575 wonderland"

in the picture the color looks a bit more red than it actually is.. i bought this lip gloss last year from tax free when i was going to holiday. i had such high expectations so i was little disappointed even there is nothing bad about the product. when you are buying expensive cosmetic you just expect them to be groundbreaking :D this lip gloss is super pigmented and juicy, it feels soft in the lips and it's not too sticky. if you want same qualities without breaking the bank i recommend maybelline color elixir lip gloss. price: 42€

when i started wearing lipsticks they use to always be pink - in total i have 14 pink lip products, so i decided to divide it in lighter and darker pinks. the irony is that nowadays i rather wear anything else than pink :D

the body shop lip & cheek velvet stick "20 poppy pink"

it's not as crazy pink as the lipstick below, so this lip & cheek stick is in my weekly use. also the matte finish makes it look more modern - but the matte finish is also a minus, because if you have any dryness in the lips, it shows and the color doesn't apply evenly. price: 14,90€

maybelline color sensational vivids "900 pink pop"

this barbie pink color is definitely hard to pull off, it doesn't suit for everyone or with every make up look. i usually pair this lipstick with bold eyeliner to make the look more modern and less bimbo. price: 9,60€

rimmel colour show off lipstick "020 shake-up pink"

this lipstick used to be my absolute favorite, in 2012 it was probably the only lipstick that i wore. i like this kind of peachy undertoned color. i think rimmel has quit the colour show off lipstick range so unfortunately its not available anymore.

max factor colour elixir lipstick "625 magenta divine"

my least favorite lipstick from the pinks, i think it's because it has a little bit frost in it. definitely a miss purchase, i don't recall if i have even used this. price: 12,50€

the body shop colour crush lipstick "225 blushing pink"

a great pink lipstick for someone that isn't comfortable with bright colors, because this one is really near the actual lip colour. the formula is super moisturising, and the lipstick lasts okay, but not as good as some. price: 13,90€

sensai the lipstick "08 araishu"

my second favorite from the lighter pinks. the lipstick is super long lasting, but it also glides well to the lips when applying and feels moisturising. i would never use this much money on a lipstick, but i bought this from an outlet with few euro, because it was meant to be a tester. i think they don't make this shade anymore.

the body shop lip gloss "45 watermelon"

the body shop lip glosses are juicy and they smell amazing, but they don't have a lot of pigment. they don't feel too sticky on the lips, and they also have a lot of moisturising ingredients. i usually use this lip gloss on top of pink lipstick. price: 13,80€

lumene raspberry miracle shine lipstick "107 hot day"

easy everyday lipstick, when you want just a little bit of color. super moisturising formula and sheer pigment.

mac matte lipstick "lady danger"

in this picture the lipstick looks a bit too orange what it is, eventhough it is orange toned red.. lady danger is one of my favorite lipsticks, eventhough i would prefer that the formula would be other than matte. i recommend this if you are fan of bright reds.

rimmel lasting finish by kate lipstick "01"

this lipstick is more darker and browner toned red and that's why i like to wear it in the autumn/winter time. it lasts well on the lips, but it also feels moisturising and soft. i'm not sure if this lipstick is sold anymore in finland, at least it wasn't in the rimmel finland site.

maybelline color elixir "505 signature scarlet"

my absolutely favourite lip gloss! it has really great pigment without feeling sticky on the lips. only minus i would say is the fragrance, because its quite strong.

my lipstick and lip gloss collection part 1/9 nudes

it's around 3 years ago that i started to buy and use lipsticks. before that i was really awkward with any other lip product than lip balm, and now almost a day don't go by that i wouldn't wear lipstick. i feel that my face looks so naked, bland and boring without!
since i'm obsessed with lip products, i wanted to do a review of my already existing collection. usually in the blog the tendency is to swatch only new products, but i want some attention for my favorites as well! the series will consist of 9 parts, showing different color themes.

(yeah really wondering why i have put these in wrong order..)

rimmel moisture renew lipstick "700 nude delight"
warm toned nude, that goes well with any make up. really easy color to pull off, this is one of my first lipsticks.. for a moisturising lipstick it has a great pigment, but you definitely need to reapply after eating. on a plus side - it looks great even in dry lips. rimmel updated the moisture renew collection while ago, but they still have this same shade. price: (around) 9€

mac satin lipstick "faux"
this lipstick i bought instead when i wasn't sure to buy or not velvet teddy. and now actually i might prefer this one. faux is a cool toned nude, with a hint of pink undertone. it has a great pigment and it lasts well, but it is also enough moisturising to look smooth in the lips. if you are interested of the 90's vibe, but are not sure if you want to go as far as velvet teddy, try faux. price: 20,50€

mac matte lipstick "velvet teddy"
definitely darker colored nude, that needs a confident user. now has become a cult color, after kylie jenner was rumoured using it. velvet teddy is super matte, super well pigmented and lasts all day - but you definitely want to exfoliate and moisturise your lips well before using this, because (as you can see it in the picture), the lipstick emphasizes dry parts of the lips. price: 20,50€

rimmel apocalips matte 206 atomic rose lip velvet

this product is not available in finland yet, but i wanted to try this cheap option of liquid lipsticks, which are currently trending. rimmel has made 4 matte shades to their apocalips collection. this is the lightest shade, 206 atomic rose. the other shades are orange ("orange-ology"), red ("burning lava") and dark red ("meteoric matte").

 

i'm not sure how i feel about this product yet. i have tried it on couple of times, but the color isn't making me awe. the color is more orangy nude/brown that i expected, and it looks kind of bland on me :/ the texture isn't so matte/drying than for example in the anastasia liquid lipsticks, and it doesn't last as well (you definitely need to reapply after eating..). but probably the best thing about this product is that it feels so velvety and soft in the lips! on my lips it didn't look bad even i applied it on dry lips.

good thing is that i bought this from ebay with 4€, so it definitely didn't break the bank!

"black" and gold half moon nails

this beautiful nail look is super easy to do!

as a base color i used rimmel 416 night flight - dark purple color that looks black on some lights. i prefer to use it sometimes instead of black.. on the beginning of your nails do a half circle shape with gold glitter nail polish. use a glitter polish that has lot of glitter in it. one good is mavala's 227 sparkling gold. i like to apply also another glitter polish coat with different glitter nail polish to give more dimension. for this one good is isadora's 871 gold digger holographic nail polish.

if you want something more moderated you can use nude as base color. you can also apply the glitter polish in the same way on the tips on your nails instead, then you get glitter french manicure.
