summer favorite: garnier ambre solaire dry mist

in my opinion garnier ambre solaire dry mist is the most comfortable sun protection there is. when you spray it on your skin the formula is a little creamy but after 5 minutes your skin feels dry and silky. i just absolutely hate greasy feeling on my skin so this product is perfect for me. SPF 20 is what i use in finland (for body) but in beach holidays i always use SPF 50.

for face i have 3 different products. the clarins cream i use for the whole face. la roche posay stick i use for spots that burn easily - like eyelids, cheekbones and nose. i have also a lip balm with sun protection. all of these have SPF 50 and i wouldn't never use anything less (for face).

in this post i wanted to talk about sun protection generally. this is a subject i take really seriously since i have fair skin and i burn quite easily. UV radiation can cause skin cancer and it is also one of the biggest reasons of premature skin aging. always choose sun protection that has both UVA and UVB protection.

UVA rays - they go deep in the skin and contribute the forming of free radicals. free radicals can damage collagen and elastin fibres. over time this can be seen in the skin as wrinkles and slackening.

UVB rays - they go only to the outer layers of the skin but they are the ones that cause burning and skin cancer.

after being in the sun remember to moisturise your skin. these are 2 products that i found in my collection for that purpose. the body shop mojito body sorbet you can keep in the fridge to maximize the cooling effect. this product is a really light moisturiser but it works for my normal skin. usually after taking sun i want something with more calming aloe vera in it, so this nivea moisturising after sun lotion i have used in beach holidays. sometimes i buy the aloe vera gel as well.

clarins instant light lip balm perfector "04 orange"

a lip balm with a hint of orange in it. great for someone that isn't comfortable wearing lipsticks. price: 19,90€

the body shop colour crush shine lipstick "18 sunset romance"

really natural lipstick, close to the actual lip color, with a orange undertone. an every day lip product to someone who wants just a little color. the formula is super moisturising and light, so it is easy to apply even on the go. price: 13,90€

mac amplified creme lipstick "vegas volt"

one of my absolute favorite lipsticks! it is the perfect balance to give some color to the face without being too bright. doesn't matter what you are wearing - it is always the perfect match. the formula is on point as well, it's not as dry as matte, but not as moisturising as satin. price: 20,50€

gosh velvet touch lipstick "153 flirty orange"

once i went to a department store and i thought - let's buy the brightest orange lipstick that they have. and this definitely is bright! the gosh velvet touch lipstick is super pigmented, one of the most pigmented lipsticks i have tried, but it is also creamy, so i recommend using a lip pencil with it, if you want the lipstick stay good looking all day. if you ever feel like your face is looking tired, dull, grey - apply this and you will immediately look more radiant! price: 10,90€

clarins rouge eclat "09 juicy clementine"

juicy clementine is more red-based orange. the formula is nicely moisturising and soft, but it also has a good pigment. one of my favorite lipsticks to use in summer, when you want something bright and shiny. price: 27,50€

clarins instant light lip balm perfector in shade 04 orange (19,90€). it took me while to choose a shade, but the shades 01 and 02 were so light, that they wouldn't have made any difference, since my lips are quite dark colored. i will probably buy later the shade 06, it was nice darker nude. but back to the orange - it will be really good summer color and really easy to use, since you will not need even a mirror to apply it. im wearing this in my contour and highlight video also, if you want to see how it looks. in the same video im using also the new mac 109 small contour brush (41,50€).

mac's velvet teddy lipstick (20,50€) is the it color of the moment, since it's rumored to be the shade that kylie jenner is using. it took me while to decide to buy it or not, because i was scared it would be too dark to my liking. but im glad i did, it's really growing on me!

klippoteket's silver shampoo and balsam i have been using already a while. since i have been blond almost all of my life, i have tried countless of products for blond hair. currently these are the best silver products, and they don't even cost much - only 7,50€! they have such an amazing pigment. klippoteket is a swedish brand, so i'm not sure which countries the products are available.

i'm gonna talk about kc professional's lavender hair mask later, i'm planning to do another post just about that..
