the body shop eye definer & smoky eye definer

last week (in finland) the body shop renewed their eye pencil collection. below i will show you both the normal and the smoky eye definers.

the old eye definers consisted of black, brown and white matte shades and blue, turquoise, purple, silver and bronze metallic shades.

the new colors are black, gold, green, turquoise, pink and purple. only black is matte, others are metallic. there is also gonna be a silver one, but it's gonna arrive later to the shops.

the formula feels very similar to the old eye definers. to my liking they are way too soft but i'm sure someone with sensitive eyelids will appreciate.

price in finland: 12,50€

the smoky definers (previously carbon eye definer) have seen more formula change. they used to be harder than the normal eye definers and the color was more intensive. now the formula is super soft but i guess they suit better for doing smoky eye now than before.

the smoky definers have the line smudger in the end of the pencil what helps to do the smoky eye.

all the colors are very similar dark hued. black, brown and blue are matte, the only new color purple is metallic.

price in finland: 13,50€

if you were left to wonder why they don't have normal brown and white eye pencils, i can reveal that there is still coming different options later this year :)

l'óreal color riche lipstick 377 perfect red & 131 mistinguette

i'm sorry i've not been updating my blog a lot recently. first i was one week in the country side and then one week sick. now i'm starting university studies about cosmetics chemistry and marketing (so excited!!!) and it's of course taking my time.

but let's go to this day's subject. i wanted to buy an inexpensive red lipstick that is not matte formula. i absolutely love my mac ruby woo lipstick but sometimes you want to use something more creamy and soft. ruby woo is also more blue-tone red and i wanted something warmer toned.

l'óreal color riche lipstick "377 perfect red"

it's actually funny because this lipstick was really the "perfect red" for me. the color is classic warm toned red and the formula is moisturising, but also well pigmented. if you want something more long lasting then this lipstick isn't for you.. but if you are looking for luscious, sexy and soft lips - i really recommend! it is every woman's staple lipstick.

l'óreal color riche matte lipstick "131 mistinguette"

this lipstick was a total impulse buy when i was looking for the red lipstick. when i swatched it on my hand it looked more coral toned pink, so i was a little disappointed how it actually looks on the lips. definitely too pink for me! the formula is matte but if you are used to super matte lipsticks, you wouldn't even call this matte.

the price for each lipstick in finland is around 12,50€.

classic wedding makeup

since my second wedding anniversary is coming up on sunday i decided to show you my wedding makeup. my makeup was really classic cat eye and red lips.

if my wedding would be now i would still do the same makeup but with a little more contouring. i wanted to have a headpiece since my dress was short and i didn't have a veil. my hair was in a curly messy bun.

my absolute favorite foundation! i recommend it to every bride, it makes your skin look so radiant and glowy. (if you have oily skin then i would choose something more mattifying).

revlon matte lipstick "005 strawberry suede"
this lipstick is discontinued but other great red lipsticks are "perfect red" by l'óreal and "ruby woo" by mac.

ardell professional natural false lashes "demi luvies"
the ardell natural false lashes are the most easy and comfortable false lashes i have ever tried. demi luvies give you a lot of oomf without being too drastic.

inglot eyeshadow "395 pearl"
even it is an eyeshadow, i use it as a highlighter since the color is perfect for highlighting and the price is much more cheaper compared to actual highlighters.

isadora perfect powder blusher "05 pinky peach"
really flattering, easy to wear color that suits for every look.

rimmel exaggerate liquid eyeliner waterproof
good product if you are looking for a bargain waterproof eyeliner but its not that long lasting. currently i would recommend the isadora glossy eyeliner.

whitening lightning super booster teeth whitening pen

i have never tried teeth whitening products before and i learned that they aren't necessarily for me - i just don't have the patience!

like i wrote in an earlier post this year i got this whitening lightning teeth whitening pen in a combo when i ordered gerard cosmetics lip products. (in case you didn't know whitening lightning and gerard cosmetics are basically the same company).

the instructions says to apply thin layer on the teeth and smile widely minute or so to let it dry. to get best result you should apply the product in the evening before going to sleep.

at first i must admit i think i was using too much product at once since the product was finished after 11 applications. also there was one bothering thing for me - the saliva made the formula to foam so the formula didn't really dry properly in my opinion.

i took before and after pictures but i didn't even bother to put them up since i didn't see any difference. that is partially my fault since i forgot many times to apply the product so the 11 applications weren't in following days.

i actually read from their website after that this teeth whitening pen is "great for maintaining your smile". even i would recommend this product for someone who has done a proper teeth whitening and wants to maintain the result.

price: 29$, but check whitening lightning and gerard cosmetics websites for discounts.

dove summer glow normal to dark skin

i actually found this product on the back of a shelf few weeks ago and i decided to give it another go.

the first picture is from may but since finnish summer has been rubbish and i have been working all the time, the color of my skin is pretty accurate. in the second picture i have 2 layers of dove summer glow. i'm sorry the lightening is different (even both have been taken same spot, in the evening and with flash..), but you can see how dark color it gets already with 2 applications. i think that is one of the reasons why i haven't finished using it.

dove summer glow is actually a body lotion with gradual self-tanning. i think if you have dry skin you can really benefit from this product compared to other self tanners but since i have normal skin the drying time is really long and i just hate the greasy feeling. though i give plus from easy application - its really easy to get even finish.

if you don't want such dark result, try the one for fair to normal skin.
this product is a real bargain self tanner since the price is around 6€.
